A new drilling method uses heat microwaves to vaporize rock for use in geo-thermal energy.

Its utilization in Earthscraper is to carve out large cubes or blocks and then use a conventional crane to lift the cubes out of the area, making the hole for the Earthscraper.

It does not require vaporizing the entire hole for the Earthscraper, rather carving out blocks that can lifted out. The microwave drill could work in variable degrees horizontally and many of them working simultaneously.

Instead, carve out the structure like a Hasbro Jenga game, removing blocks and leaving the essential building skeleton behind. Taking inspiration from vaulted ceilings and the many men made and natural caves on Earth.
